About the event
The open symposium hosted at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 9 November 2026 is entitled “Reinventing science diplomacy in a changing world.”
The event takes place in the context of the World Science Day for Peace and Development (10 November) and constitutes an official side event of the Paris Peace Forum (10-11 November). It will be organized with the support of the European Commission in cooperation with UNESCO and the Paris Peace Forum.

About FMSTAN
The global Foreign Ministries Science & Technology Advice Network (FMSTAN) was established in 2016 as an informal community of practice bringing together experts dealing with science and technology matters in Ministries of Foreign Affairs. It operates under the umbrella of the International Network for Governmental Science Advice (INGSA). It currently brings together around 40 members from around the world.
