Deadline: 10 April 2026
The ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development and SDG Investment Fair will be held on 20 to 24 April 2026, at UN Headquarters, New York.
The Forum this year assumes added importance and a critical role in mobilizing momentum and concrete solutions from the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4). The event will bring together ministers and high-level government officials as well as senior officials of international organizations. Civil society organizations, the business sector and local authorities will also be represented.
Building on the success of the International Business Forum held alongside the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development in Sevilla, the SDG Investment Fair serves to advance the Sevilla Commitment and key action areas of the Business Communiqué released by the FFD4 Business Steering Committee. The Fair provides a platform to connect investors, governments, development finance institutions and the UN SDG investment ecosystem to find solutions to mobilize investment for the sustainable development.
The 2026 SDG Investment Fair will include policy dialogues with leading actors on blended finance, country-led platforms, targeted reassessment of financial regulation, and access to finance for MSMEs. The Fair will also feature investment roundtables highlighting investment opportunities in developing countries in energy transition, blue economy, and digital transformation.
The SDG Investment Fair has demonstrated a unique value proposition as an inclusive global arena for advancing investable projects and kickstarting new partnerships, knowledge sharing, networking and connecting to investors with the aim of bridging the financing gap. Since 2018, projects worth over $70 billion have been presented by over 30 countries.
