Under the joint leadership of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Metrological Organization (WMO) , the Consultative Workshop and Science Policy Dialogue on Solar Radiation Modification (SRM), will be held from Monday, 19-20 May 2025 in a hybrid format; in-person at the World Meteorological Organization ( WMO) office in Geneva, Switzerland and online. The aim is to foster a shared understanding of the current status of SRM science and research. The two-day workshop supported by the International Science Council (ISC) and World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) will include knowledge sharing sessions followed by a facilitated High-level Science-Policy Dialogue. The Workshop will bring together key experts, researchers and practitioners working on SRM as well as UNEP Member States and international coalitions and organizations.
