UNITAR Training Programme on Negotiation Skills and Techniques, Drafting Skills and Multilateral Conference Diplomacy, and Capacity Building through Peer Learning
The training programme is targeted at all delegates from States Members of the UN and members of its specialized agencies and the European Union accredited to the Committee of Permanent Representatives, based in Nairobi and at capitals. In particular, the training is intended for those delegates who will represent their delegations in the negotiation of UNEA-6 draft resolutions and decisions.
The training programme would allow participants to acquire new skills and knowledge and to exchange and discuss with experts in the respective fields through peer learning via three training components:
1. Negotiation Skills and Techniques
2. Drafting Skills and Multilateral Conference Diplomacy
3. Capacity Building through Peer Learning
Nairobi-based delegates may utilize this portal to register for the in-person training to be held as follows:
Monday, 11 September 2023:
Group 1: Negotiation Skills and Techniques (in-person)
Tuesday, 12 September 2023:
Group 1: Drafting Skills and Multilateral Diplomacy (in-person)
Wednesday, 13 September 2023:

Due to limited space available for in-person training, participants will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis while ensuring geographical and gender balance. Those delegations who are not able to participate in-person would be prioritized for the online sessions held from Wednesday, 13 to Friday, 15 September.
