Dear Colleagues,

As follow up to the email I sent on Friday 28 February 2020 and based on an online survey we undertook with regard to the possible postponement of the upcoming 12th Annual meeting of the UN Governing Bodies, a clear majority of respondents (28 out of 33) was of the view that the meeting should be postponed to a later date.

On this basis and considering the general advice provided by the UN Secretariat regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, after consultations with the previous and forthcoming chairs of UNGBS, we have decided to postpone the 12th Annual meeting of the UN Governing Bodies to 26-28 October 2020.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and look forward to welcoming you to Nairobi later in the year. Kindly save the dates in your schedules.

With regard to the ongoing preparations of documentation and presentations for the meeting from by different contributors, you are nevertheless invited to finalize the documentation and share it with Ms. Loisina Ambeyi (loisina.ambeyi@un.org) as soon as available.

Thank you for your support and understanding.
