Workshop on Mission-Level Positive Legacy Plans

The workshop on Mission-level positive legacy plans, held from 17 to 19 November 2026 at the UNGSC Base in Brindisi, Italy, supports relevant Security Council and General Assembly mandates on positive legacy, as well as the ACABQ recommendation contained in A/80/604 that “updated information on the finalized mission guidance and on the status of mission-level positive legacy plans be provided in the next mission budget submissions and the next overview report”. The objective of the workshop is to make a working level determination on appropriate minimum requirements for the mission-level positive legacy plans requested by Member States and to discuss practical approaches for developing and implementing these plans in resource-constrained environments in order to support the capacity building and training of key staff involved.
