The FAO Liaison Office in Geneva, together with the Federal Office for Agriculture of Switzerland (FOAG) and Agroscope, warmly invites you to celebrate World Food Day 2026.
Under the global theme “Innovate today. Nourish tomorrow.”, this year’s celebration in Geneva will focus on “From science to solutions in agrifood systems”, highlighting the role of science, technology and innovation in building more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agrifood systems.
The event will also mark 80 years of Switzerland’s membership in FAO, celebrating a longstanding partnership in advancing food security, sustainable agriculture and rural development. Bringing together representatives from government, research, international organizations and other stakeholders, the event will showcase Swiss and FAO expertise and explore how innovation can help turn knowledge and research into practical solutions.
