The informal technical meeting on the draft rules of procedure of the Plenary of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Panel on Chemicals, Waste and Pollution (ISP-CWP) will be held from 1 to 3 October 2026 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting will be preceded by regional consultations in the afternoon of 30 September 2026.
Subject to the availability of financial resources, the interim secretariat may provide travel support to eligible members of the Panel, in accordance with established United Nations rules and practices, for a maximum of ONE (1) representative per eligible developing country and country with an economy in transition.
In order for the interim secretariat to facilitate travel arrangements and to provide financial support, please register here with the required information and upload the necessary documents.
Delegates nominated to received travel support are required to upload the UN event pass (received after registration was approved) and the Note Verbale/Letter from the national authorities nominating the ONE (1) representative proposed to receive travel support.
Delegates from eligible members of the Panel designated to receive travel support are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, but strictly no later than 7 August 2026 23:59 East Africa Time.
For the necessary travel arrangements to comply with the United Nations rules and regulations, nominations for funding support after the deadline cannot be guaranteed.
The funding will cover economy-class round-trip air tickets, as well as daily subsistence allowances and terminal expenses in accordance with the United Nations rules and regulations. Note that the interim secretariat is not in a position to accommodate last minute changes or cancellations after a ticket has been issued as this results in financial loss.
Note: Please note that the travel dates and daily subsistence allowance (DSA) apply exclusively to the informal technical meeting on the draft rules of procedure of the Plenary of the ISP-CWP and do not cover the meeting dates of the second informal in-person meeting of the Heads of Delegation to the INC which will be held back-to-back with the informal technical meeting. Registration for, and any application to participate in, the INC meeting is a separate process. Delegates wishing to participate in the INC meeting should contact the INC Secretariat directly for information on registration and participation requirements.
