Secretariat to the Ad Hoc Committee

The indico registration for this meeting is closed. In case you wish to be added to the list of participants, please contact the secretariat at cybercrimeahc@un.org by sending an note verbale or official letter confirming your nomination as a delegate to the meeting latest by 16 February 2024.

The registration process will be open from Tuesday, 2 January to Friday, 26 January 2024, 6 p.m., New York time.

Venue

The plenary meeting will be held in Conference Room 3 at United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ).

Format

The session will be held in the six official languages of the United Nations.

The plenary and any night meetings will be held in person, bearing in mind that the plenary meetings will be webcast on the website of UN WebTV in the six official languages of the United Nations. Meetings of the Bureau, the Consistency Group and open-ended informal meetings (for governmental delegates) that take place in parallel to the plenary meetings can be held in hybrid format.

Important information for Member States

An official note verbale issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an accredited Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York or Vienna containing the Government’s official delegation to the meeting (including names, titles, email addresses and participation modality of the entire delegation) is required to register through Indico. Each delegate is required to attach a copy of the note verbale to her/his registration request in Indico.

Delegates of Member States, the Holy See, Palestine and the European Union will be able to participate online in the open-ended informal meetings that take place parallel to the plenary meetings. 

Participation in the plenary meetings will be in-person with an option to view the plenary meeting on UN WebTV. 

Important information for Organizations

An official letter, with letterhead and signed by the Head of the organization, with the details of the participants that shall attend the meeting (name, title/function, workplace, individual email address and participation modality) is required to register through Indico. Each delegate is required to attach a copy of the official letter to her/his registration request in Indico. 

Delegates of other interested relevant non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions and private sector organizations (as per para. 9 of General Assembly resolution 75/282), which were approved by the Ad Hoc Committee (see list here) need to register in Indico by Monday, 22 January, 6 p.m., New York time.  Representatives are asked to indicate in the registration form if they need a grounds pass to enter UNHQ. The secretariat will provide grounds passes to these delegates. Information about the collection of grounds passes will be provided closer to the time of the meeting.

Participation in the plenary meetings will be in-person with an option to view the plenary meetings on UN WebTV.

Please note that approval of the registration in Indico does not automatically generate a grounds pass. Participants should follow the steps on this page to obtain grounds passes.
