The tenth Biennial Meeting of the Working Group on the Asian Highway will be convened in accordance with Article 7(2) of the Intergovernmental Agreement on the Asian Highway Network at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok on 14-15 June 2023.
The Working Group will consider the implementation of the Agreement and any amendments proposed by the Parties. In line with the Regional Action Programme for Sustainable Transport Development in Asia and the Pacific (2022–2026), the tenth meeting will also serve to advance discussions on progress towards efficient and resilient transport and logistics networks and mobility for economic growth; environmentally sustainable transport systems and services; and safe and inclusive transport and mobility. It will also consider issues related to supporting environmentally sustainable and resilient transport infrastructure along the Asian Highway Network. In addition, a policy segment on that topic will be organized on 15 June 2023, in conjunction with the tenth meeting.
The registration for in-person and online participants is open until 31 May 2023. All participants must present a credential/official nomination letter by the relevant authorities to participate in the tenth meeting of the Working Group on the Asian Highway.
