Welcome to the Registration for the High-Level Meeting on the Midterm Review of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030

Pursuant to the President of the General Assembly, the High-Level Meeting of the General Assembly on the Midterm Review of the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 (HLM) will take place during a two-day High-Level event at the General Assembly Hall and the Trusteeship Council Chamber from 18-19 May 2023.
The deadline to register is 24 April 2023.
Objective
The High-Level Meeting provides a platform for Member States, the United Nations system partners and other stakeholders to reflect on the findings and recommendations of the MTR SF and formulate a forward-looking and risk-informed approach to more effectively address systemic risk. The meeting will adopt a political declaration to renew commitment and accelerate the implementation of the Sendai Framework up to 2030.
Registration
For participation at the High-Level meeting representatives of an ECOSOC-accredited NGO and relevant stakeholders not from an organization in consultative status with ECOSOC may register by clicking "Register now" button at the bottom of this page.
You will be directed to choose the registration form for either:
- Civil Society NOT from an organization in consultative status with ECOSOC
- NGO in consultative status with UN ECOSOC
Please note that participants will have an opportunity to participate during the multistakeholder panels on day two of the High-Level meeting, 19 May 2023 in the Trusteeship Council Chamber. In the registration form, you will be able to indicate which thematic panel discussion is of interest to you.
The High-Level Meeting and the multistakeholder panels on 18 and 19 May 2023 will be broadcast live on UN Web TV. Please note that you don't have to register if you plan to follow through webcast.
