ONLY non-governmental organizations that are currently in Consultative Status with ECOSOC will be able to use this form to register participants for the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5).

Each Organization will be able to register up to fifteen (15) representatives. If more than fifteen are registered under one organization, the Secretariat will approve registrations on a first-come first-serve basis, with reference to the letter of representation provided by the Organization.

LDC5: FROM POTENTIAL TO PROSPERITY
The world’s Least Developed Countries are in a race against time to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The remaining years need to usher in a new global partnership to ensure these 46 countries benefit from social, economic and environmental development.
The Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) is a once-in-a-decade opportunity to accelerate sustainable development in the places where international assistance is needed the most - and to tap the full potential of the Least Developed Countries helping them make progress on the road to prosperity.
The conference in Doha, Qatar on 5-9 March 2023, which will identify actions and partnerships at the highest possible level, including Heads of State and Government, to deliver on this agenda.

Undertake a comprehensive appraisal of the implementation of the Istanbul PoA;

Mobilize additional international support measures and action in favour of LDCs; and

Agree on a renewed partnership between LDCs and their development partners to overcome structural challenges, eradicate poverty, achieve internationally agreed development goals and enable graduation from the LDC category.
