Asia Pacific Regional Consultation on National Mechanisms for Implementation, Reporting and Follow-up (NMIRFs)
HRC resolution 42/30 requested the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (hereafter OHCHR) “to organize five regional consultations to exchange experiences and good practices relating to the establishment and development of national mechanisms for implementation, reporting and follow-up, and their impact on effective implementation of human rights obligations and commitments, in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.”
Originally planned to be held in Paraguay, Ethiopia, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon and Thailand, the consultations will take place remotely due to the prevailing circumstances.
The consultation organized on 30 November- 1 December will suit time zones compatible with Asia and The Pacific. They will be held with interpretation in English and Mandarin. The online platform will provide captioning. The link to the meeting will be sent to registered participants.
