Schindler's List
On the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day
and in memoriam of Branko Lustig, Croatian film producer
The film screening has the objective of commemorating the International Holocaust Remembrance Day on 27 January. Schindler’s List was produced by Branko Lustig, a Croatian film producer, who passed away in November 2019. During World War II, Branko Lustig was imprisoned for two years in Berg-Belsen and Auschwitz, where he was given the number “A3317”. Most members of his family perished in the death camps throughout Europe. Branko Lustig left an important mark in the memory of the Holocaust, especially with his Oscar-winning movie Schindler’s List (1993), reviewed as one of the most important movies in memory of the Holocaust. Branko Lustig also won an Oscar for the movie Gladiator (2000). He also worked on the production of Hannibal (2001) and Black Hawk Down (2001).
Opening reception will start at 11:30 a.m.
