The Geneva Dialogues on Human Rights and Climate Change will seek to convene representatives of diverse institutions to reflect on the importance of promoting human rights in climate policies with a specific focus on two themes of particular relevance in 2019 (“movement of people” and “land and peoples”) and the role of international institutions in relation to those themes. This day-long event will include general sessions exploring relevant aspects of the integration of human rights and climate change, as well as thematic dialogues seeking to explore more in-depth climate-related issues with strong human rights implications that will be particularly prominent within the 2019 international agenda.
