Meeting of Development Partners (DP): Going Further and Faster on AMR

Europe/Zurich
In-Person
M.205 (WHO, Geneva, Switzerland)

M.205

WHO

World Health Organization 20, avenue Appia CH-1211 Geneva 27
Description
AMR needs to have a prominent position in development narratives because of its effects on human health, the food chain and the environment. The “story” of AMR needs to be explained more sharply in terms of why it is so important; what specifically can be done about it; and how this involves a mix of new money for specific activities and, crucially, looking again at existing work related to hygiene, infection management and the appropriate use of medicines. This meeting will address three issues – the AMR narrative, what can be done about AMR, and how/by whom.
