The Museums of Art and History of Geneva, the United Nations Office and ART for The World are jointly presenting the work of Beninese artist, Georges Adéagbo, through two separate exhibitions at the Palace of Nations and the Maison Tavel. Adéagb is the first African artist ever to receive the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Biennale in 1999, and his art reveals the often surprising affinities and similarities that can exist between different cultures. In these two brand new installations, the artist highlights both the permanent collection on display at Geneva’s most ancient private residence and the archives held at the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) Library.
