Regional Meeting of Civil Society on Sustainable Development in the Arab Region <br> الاجتماع الإقليمي للمجتمع المدني حول التنمية المستدامة في المنطقة العربية

The regional meeting of civil society aims to review the efforts of civil society organizations to engage in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the Arab region and its follow-up and review processes. It also aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences among organizations as well as launch a platform for dialogue on sustainable development. The meeting will result in a set of recommendations for future civil society action. These recommendations will also feed into the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development 2018 (AFSD-2018), which is the primary regional mechanism for the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda in the Arab region. The outcome of AFSD gives voice to the Arab region and sets out key messages emanating from the regional dialogue that are presented at the 2018 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).
