The Right to Food and Local Agrifood Systems

The FAO Liaison Office in Geneva, in collaboration with the FAO Right to Food Team of the Rural Transformation and Gender Equality Division (ESP), invites you to a hybrid briefing session on “The Right to Food and Local Agrifood Systems”. 

The dialogue will demonstrate how the right to food can provide a practical governance framework for the progressive transformation of local agrifood systems, and how experiences from cities and territories help translate international commitments into change in people’s everyday food environments and lives. Moving beyond discussing the Right to Food principally as a legal concept, it will allow to examine how it translates into concrete policies, institutions and services.
