UNESCO and the European Union are pleased to invite you to the cultural event "Cultural Resilience and Development in Yemen", organized within the framework of the project “Youth Employment through Heritage and Culture in Yemen”, funded by the European Union.
Through a photography exhibition and a live Yemeni music performance, guests will discover the project’s journey and impact across heritage rehabilitation, cultural advocacy and the creative economy. The exhibition will include a special focus on the revival of the first cinema in the country in three decades, Arwa Cinema in Aden.
The event will also create a space for dialogue among representatives of European institutions, development and cultural partners, and members of the Yemeni community in Europe. A forward-looking discussion will explore how the achievements of the project can be sustained and how culture can continue to support employment, social cohesion and Yemen’s longer-term recovery.
