Recalling decision point 7.6 of the 57th meeting of the Programme Coordinating Board (December 2025), and further to decision point 10.4 of the 58th meeting of the Programme Coordinating Board (June 2026), under Agenda item 10 on the "Interim report of the PCB Working Group on the further transition and integration of UNAIDS into the United Nations system and beyond":
"Recalling decision 7.6 of the 57th Programme Coordinating Board meeting, requests the Working Group to share, through the PCB Bureau, the detailed options ahead of the next multistakeholder consultation."
And as reflected in the agreed timeline in the Terms of Reference of the "PCB Working Group on the further transition and integration of UNAIDS into the UN system and beyond" (UNAIDS/PCB(58)/26.2.rev1), a second and final formal consultation on the work of the PCB Working Group will be convened, following the first consultation held on 12 May 2026, to give PCB members and stakeholders – including communities living with, affected by, and at risk of HIV - a structured opportunity to react to the detailed transition options before the Working Group finalizes its plan.
The consultation will take place over two half-day sessions, on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 September 2026, from 13:00 (CEST, Geneva time), and will be held virtually via the Zoom platform.
