The UNFCCC secretariat is organizing a webinar on the agenda item “Sharm el-Sheikh joint work on implementation of climate action on agriculture and food security” on 19 October 2026.
The webinar will provide delegates and stakeholders with an update on the secretariat's mandates under this agenda item in advance of the sixty-fifth sessions of the subsidiary bodies (SB65), to be held in November 2026 in Antalya, Türkiye, as part of COP31. Participants will be informed about progress in implementing these mandates, including the preparation of the report on the in-session workshop on progress, challenges and opportunities related to identifying needs and accessing means of implementation for climate action on agriculture and food security, including the sharing of best practices. The webinar will also provide an overview of the mandates to be considered by the subsidiary bodies at SB65 under this agenda item.
To facilitate participation across time zones, the webinar will be offered twice on the same day: 07:00-07:45 UTC and 16:00-16:45 UTC.
