Brief on the Regional Network Meeting
Meeting: Regional Network Meeting of Ozone Officers of English-Speaking African Countries

Brief:
The meeting, organized by the Environmental Protection Authority of Ethiopia in collaboration with UNEP, will bring together National Ozone Officers, the Ozone Secretariat, the Multilateral Fund Secretariat, implementing and bilateral agencies, and other resource persons to strengthen regional cooperation and support the implementation of the Montreal Protocol and the Kigali Amendment.
Discussions will focus on HCFC Phase-out Management Plans (HPMPs), Kigali HFC Implementation Plans (KIPs), the sustainable transformation of the refrigeration and air-conditioning (RAC) servicing sector, lifecycle refrigerant management, enforcement and compliance, project management, and gender mainstreaming.

Internet connectivity and technical support for online meeting participation will be required for presenters joining virtually during the following sessions:
- Monday, 10 August 2026: Opening Session, 09:00–10:30
- Monday, 10 August 2026: 11:30–13:30
- Wednesday, 12 August 2026: 14:00–17:00
