The fifteenth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development (IFESD) is scheduled to take place under the theme of “Energy Transition in an Uncertain World: Driving Security, Growth and Resilience” from 3 to 6 November 2026 in Xi'an, China. The Forum will be jointly organized by the five United Nations Regional Commissions.

Prior to the IFESD on 2 November, the Meeting of the Expert Working Group on Universal Access to Modern Energy Services, Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Cleaner Use of Fossil Fuels (15th EWG-SDG7) will be held from 09:00 to 12:00 hours and the eighteenth meeting of the Expert Working Group on Energy Connectivity (18th EWG-EC) from 14:00 to 17.00 hours. This is by invitation only to the members and associate members of ESCAP.
