As sustainability regulations, digital product information, and traceability requirements continue to evolve around the world, one challenge is becoming increasingly clear: how can value-chain data be shared once, and used wherever it is needed?
This year's session, "Making access to value-chain data easy: Building interoperability and trust", will bring together policymakers, businesses, international organizations, standards bodies, technology providers, researchers and civil society to explore practical solutions for achieving interoperability at scale.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore future policy and technology scenarios shaping value-chain traceability; better understand what interoperability means in practice, and why it matters; discover how the United Nations Transparency Protocol (UNTP) supports trusted and interoperable data exchange; learn from practical implementations across textile, critical energy transition minerals, and agri-food deforestation-risk commodities; and help shape the Team of Specialists’ collaborative priorities and sectoral work.
