This two-day training aims to strengthen the capacity of second-line border control officers and document examination personnel in the examination and verification of travel and identity documents using the Regula 4205D document examination device. The programme combines theoretical instruction with practical demonstrations to enhance participants' understanding of document manufacture, security features, examination techniques, and the role of second-line document examination in border security.
Throughout the training, participants will gain hands-on experience in examining genuine and questioned documents, verifying document authenticity using the Regula 4205D, consulting reference databases, and interpreting examination findings. Practical case exercises will reinforce the application of second-line examination procedures and support participants in making informed decisions on document authenticity and the referral of suspected fraudulent documents for forensic examination.
