Arabic connects people across regions and cultures while reflecting a remarkable diversity of expressions, oral traditions, histories and cultural influences. This diversity is one of the language's greatest strengths and a source of creativity, vitality and knowledge exchange.

Under the theme “Arabic Language and Cultural Diversity: Celebrating Dialogue and Mutual Understanding", this year’s World Arabic Language Day will explore how Arabic's many forms bring communities together, foster dialogue and contribute to a shared sense of belonging that embraces difference.

The celebrations are organized by UNESCO’s Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Section within the framework of the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Programme for the Arabic Language, in close partnership with the Permanent Delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to UNESCO and with the generous support of the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation, whose longstanding engagement and collaboration continue to make these commemorations possible.
