With the launch of the ESCAP Trust Fund for Tsunami, Disaster and Climate Preparedness Strategy 2025–2030, and marking two decades since its establishment in 2005, the Trust Fund enters a new phase focused on implementation. Informed by the findings of a comprehensive evaluative review in its twentieth year, this renewed strategic direction will be advanced through a set of targeted new initiatives.
In this context, the 28th Meeting of the Advisory Council to the Trust Fund for Tsunami, Disaster and Climate Preparedness will provide members with an opportunity to discuss and endorse a new portfolio of projects selected for implementation under the Strategy 2025–2030. These initiatives respond to evolving regional risks and capacity needs and aim to build coastal resilience to disasters across Asia and the Pacific. Convened as an ad‑hoc session, the meeting will address financial matters and future programming considerations.
Provisional Agenda:
- Opening Session
- Trust Fund for Tsunami, Disaster and Climate Preparedness Strategy 2025-2030 and discussion

Light lunch will be provided following the meeting.
