Interactive Multi-Stakeholder Hearing to Review the Progress on Ending Equalities and Getting on Track to End HIV/AIDS
Pending the conclusion of the intergovernmental negotiations on the modalities resolution for the 2026 High-Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS, and consistent with previous high-level meetings on HIV/AIDS, it is expected that the General Assembly will request the President of the General Assembly to convene an interactive multi-stakeholder hearing as part of the preparatory process for the 2026 High-Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS. Preparations are therefore underway for the multi-stakeholder hearing to be held on 14 May 2026, which will provide an opportunity for all relevant stakeholders to contribute to the preparatory process. Participation in the interactive multi-stakeholder hearing is, however, contingent upon the hearing being mandated by the General Assembly in the resolution on the organization of the 2026 High-Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS.
