Welcome to the Official Women's Outreach Course #16 Page!

We are thrilled to welcome you to the official landing page for the Women's Outreach Course #16 – a specialized training program designed to prepare female military and police officers for effective deployment in United Nations Peacekeeping Operations.

About the Course

This unique course aims to equip female military staff officers for roles in ICT within Force or Sector Headquarters (J6/G6/S6), and female police officers as advisors to Police Commissioners on ICT-related matters.

Through an intensive and interactive curriculum, participants will gain core competencies in:

  • Command, control, and communications systems used in UN Peacekeeping.

  • Legal frameworks including human rights, humanitarian, criminal, and refugee law.

  • UN mission logistics, crisis response, and military operations planning.

  • The structure and roles of the UN Secretariat, MHQ, FHQ, and selection of MILOBs and Staff Officers.

Training will take place both in the classroom and through hands-on fieldwork in locations such as the Sat Farm, Aircraft Hangars, and Antenna Equipment Rooms. The program ensures daily practical engagement, delivered by expert instructors from various member states and UN missions.
