Organized by UNITAR in partnership with the Kigali Genocide Memorial and Generative AI for Good, and convened in the context of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and the 16 Days of Activism, the event will explore the role of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, in both exacerbating and preventing conflict-related sexual violence and technology-facilitated exploitation.
A central component of the event will be the presentation of “Hearing Their Voices”, a global initiative employing generative AI to ethically and safely amplify the testimonies of survivors of CRSV and gender-based violence. The programme will feature high-level speakers, policymakers, survivor advocates, experts in technology and peacebuilding, and representatives of Member States.
