[NGOs] Registration to the Third Part of the Fifth Session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee for Observers from Non-Governmental Organizations [NGOs]

Accredited non-governmental organizations that fall under the following categories can register to participate as Observers at INC-5.3: 

• Organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) (Special, General or Roster consultative status). You can check if your organization has consultative status with ECOSOC here. 

• Organizations accredited to UNEP and invited to participate in the sessions of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA). You can check if your organization is UNEP accredited here. 

• Organizations accredited to the governing bodies of the Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) and regional environment agreements administered by UNEP. 

Eligible organizations belonging to the above-mentioned categories can register a maximum of ONE (1) representative through the “Register here” button below to participate as an Observer at INC-5.3.

The following documentation and files must be uploaded in the INDICO registration form at the time of registration:  

1. A nomination letter in the organization’s letterhead with the name, functional title, and affiliation of the representative. The letter must be dated and have the handwritten signature of the person responsible for the organization. Organizations are requested to submit the letter in PDF format. 

2. A passport-size colour photograph (with a white, grey, or neutral colour background) of the representative. 

3. The passport biographical page. 

Please note that the review and verification process of the registrations for INC-5.3 is not automatic and may take up to a few days, which varies according to the volume of registrations received.  

A participant must be at least 18 years old to attend the INC-5.3. However, participation by individuals under the age of 18 may be permitted upon submission of written authorization from a parent or legal guardian. In such cases, participants under 18 years of age must also be accompanied by a chaperone at all times.

Deadline for registration to participate in INC-5.3 is 16 January 2026, 23:59 East African Time.  

There will be no on-site registration.
