The event will be a part of the celebrations of the 2025 World Science Day for Peace and Development. The theme of this year, “Trust, Transformation, and Tomorrow: The Science We Need for 2050", invites us to reflect on the kind of science and the kind of relationship between science and society that will need to meet the demands of the coming decades.
A panel composed of representatives from science, officials, and experts will discuss the foundations of a renewed social contract with science and the evolving role of science in shaping the future, particularly the future of scientific research, such as how AI and other disruptive technologies are shifting the scientific paradigm.
