The UN General Assembly (GA) will convene a high-level meeting on the overall review of the implementation of the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+20), at the highest possible level, on 16 and 17 December 2025 including side events starting on 15 December 2025

Please take note of the following registration guidelines, which apply for the registration to the High-Level Meeting and side events taking place inside the UN Headquarters:

  • All onsite stakeholder participants must register through the UN Accreditation System and create an account on the INDICO platform to attend the meeting. For technical issues, please, reach out to: Indico Helpdesk at support.accreditation@un.org
  • Individuals applying for registration will need to demonstrate affiliation with an organization in consultative status with ECOSOC or with provable relevance to the WSIS+20 process. Registrants can check if their organisation has a consultative status with ECOSOC here
  • Due to space restrictions, organisations that are Non-Government/Non-Member State applying through Indico will be allowed to request registration for up to 4 (four) delegates for the meeting.
  • Non-governmental participants will need to attach a letter of representation confirming they have been delegated by their organisation to participate, signed by the head of their organisation and including the participant's full name as reflected in valid passport/government ID. A template is available here
  • Journalists intending to cover the event must apply for UNHQ press accreditation here: indico.un.org/UNHQ/#media
  • Participants under 18 years old will need to be registered and accompanied by a Chaperone who must also be duly registered to attend the Conference through the same organisation. This information must be included in the affiliation letter to be uploaded to the registration platform. If chaperones are not the legal guardians, a permission letter from the parents or legal guardians must be submitted at the time of registration.

Please register prior to the deadline on 21 November 2025 (11:59 p.m. EST).

Only upon approval of the registration request, individuals will be granted access to the UN Headquarters

For additional guidance on the registration process please check: https://sdgs.un.org/universal/faqs-indico-registrations-57498

Important notes

Please note that participants are responsible for all necessary arrangements related to their in-person participation, including travel, visa and others, as appropriate. The Secretariat will not follow up on individual requests for visa letters neither will liaise with the host country on visa issues.

The United Nations is delighted to welcome registered stakeholders to attend the WSIS+20 High-level Meeting. While we strive to accommodate all registered participants, due to limited space at UNHQ, security and safety measures may be implemented to manage access to the venue and conference rooms.

Once the registration is approved, a confirmation email will be sent to your account. Please make sure to have the email stored on your mobile device and presented when traveling to the venue along with a valid photo-ID document issued by a UN Member State.

Please visit the official WSIS+20 review webpage for more information: https://publicadministration.desa.un.org/wsis20
