En 2025, América Latina se prepara para presentar sus terceras Contribuciones Determinadas a Nivel Nacional (NDC 3.0), elaboradas a la luz del primer Balance Global del Acuerdo de París, y continúa avanzando en la formulación e implementación de Planes Nacionales de Adaptación (NAPs). En este contexto, las Soluciones basadas en la Naturaleza (SbN) emergen como un eje clave y costo-efectivo para cumplir simultáneamente objetivos de mitigación y adaptación, al tiempo que generan co-beneficios para la biodiversidad, la seguridad hídrica, la salud y los medios de vida.

Con el fin de impulsar la transición de la política a la práctica, el webinar “De la política a la práctica: Implementando NDCs y NAPs a través de Soluciones basadas en la Naturaleza en América Latina” reunirá a tomadores de decisión, expertos técnicos y actores de la región para compartir experiencias concretas y explorar mecanismos institucionales, de gobernanza, de financiamiento y de acción comunitaria que permiten escalar la implementación de SbN. El espacio fomentará el intercambio entre gobiernos, sociedad civil, sector privado y organismos internacionales, fortaleciendo la cooperación regional hacia un desarrollo resiliente al clima.

¿Cómo registrarse?

Luego, deberá indicar el nombre de su organización o Parte.

¡Importante! Las categorías de Organizaciones intergubernamentales (OIG) y Organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG) deben ser utilizadas únicamente por representantes de OIG y ONG que cuenten con estatus de observador ante la CMNUCC (ver: lista de ONG admitidas, lista de OIG admitidas). En caso de que su ONG u OIG no sea observadora, seleccione la categoría "Other".

¿Recibiré una confirmación de mi registro?
Una vez que haya completado el registro, recibirá una notificación por correo electrónico confirmando que se ha registrado para este evento. Posteriormente, será notificado(a) una vez que la secretaría haya aprobado su registro.

In 2025, Latin America is preparing to present its third round of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC 3.0), informed by the first Global Stocktake of the Paris Agreement, while continuing to advance the formulation and implementation of National Adaptation Plans (NAPs). In this context, Nature-based Solutions (NbS) are emerging as a key and cost-effective pathway to simultaneously achieve mitigation and adaptation goals, while generating co-benefits for biodiversity, water security, health, and livelihoods.

To support the transition from policy to practice, the webinar “From Policy to Practice: Implementing NDCs and NAPs through Nature-based Solutions in Latin America” will bring together decision-makers, technical experts, and regional stakeholders to share concrete experiences and explore institutional, governance, financing, and community-based approaches that enable the scaling up of NbS implementation. The event will foster exchange among governments, civil society, the private sector, and international partners, strengthening regional cooperation toward climate-resilient development.

How to register?

To register for this event, click on the "Register now" button below. 

In case this is your first time using INDICO for registering for UN events, you will be required to create an account. You will be able to use this account to speed up your registration process in the future. For detailed instructions on how to create an account, please refer to the manual in the attachments.

What should I select in the "Representation" section? 

In the registration form, you will be asked to indicate the type of the organization that you represent, selecting from the following drop-down list: 

• Parties (for representatives of the Parties to UNFCCC)

• United Nations Secretariat units and bodies

• Specialized agencies and related organizations

• Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs)

• Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)

• Media 

• Other

Then, you will have to indicate the name of your organization/Party. 

Important! The Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) and Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) categories should only be used by representatives of NGOs and IGOs that have observer status with UNFCCC (see: list of admitted NGOs, list of admitted IGOs). In case your NGO or IGO is not an observer, please select the "Other" category. 

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?  

Once you have completed the registration, you will receive an email notification confirming that you have registered for this event. Subsequently, you will be notified that your registration has been approved by the secretariat. 

How do I receive the link to join the event online? 

The link to join the event will be included in the registration confirmation email.
