The Regional Civil Society Engagement Mechanism for the UNECE region (ECE-RCEM) Civil Society Forum 2026 takes place on the 20th April from 10am -18.00 in the Palais de Nations, Geneva, Room XVI

This is a strategic space for civil society across the UNECE region to come together, assess the current landscape, and strategize collective action.

The Forum brings together civil society actors in all their diversity to plan together and prepare detailed inputs to the UNECE Regional Forum of Sustainable Development high-level plenaries and its peer group dialogues on SDGs 6,7, 9, 11 and 17. Additionally, it also includes an interactive dialogue with Government and UN representatives engaged with UN reforms and the processes of SDG implementation.

At this time of global instability and continuing regional upheaval it is more vital than ever to affirm and build solidarity, share best practice, strengthen our networks, and spotlight civil society’s role in defending multilateralism, human rights, gender justice, climate action, and environmental, economic and social equity for all.

 Detailed agenda to follow.
