Background
The 2025 Local and Regional Governments Forum (LRG) at the HLPF will spotlight LRGs as key partners in delivering the 2030 Agenda. It will explore how multilevel governance, inclusive services, and localized investment drive SDG action. The Forum will highlight SDGs 3, 5, 8, 14, and 17, with emphasis on gender equality, decent work, and sustainable oceans, and advance dialogue on local reporting and future-ready policy.
Organizers: UN DESA, Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments (GTF), UN-Habitat, UNDP and the Local 2030 Coalition.

*The LRGF is open to all registered participants of the HLPF. Please, use this form if you are not registered to attend the HLPF (neither have a valid UN grounds pass) and if you would like to request a Special Events Ticket to attend this meeting in person. Please, note that all arrangements for travel, including visas, accommodation, and transportation, are the responsibility of the participants. The United Nations does not charge fees for participation at the event.
