UNCAP Training Platforms: Login Guide

1.      Moodle: https://uncap.un.org/

UNCAP’s Moodle Platform houses our in-person and hybrid training program’s training content. It also hosts student assessments and exams.

Login Steps

1.      UNCAP Admin must create an account for new students on Moodle (new enrollment using e-mail)

2.      UNCAP Admin must add participants to their corresponding course.

3.      Student’s will receive a system generated email, including login details (username and one-time password). Student’s login to Moodle using these details.

4.      The system will prompt students to change their password upon first login.

5.      Once password has been set, students can navigate to their corresponding course page to find course materials.

 

2.      Technology Training Portal

The Technology Training Portal is a platform that supports the Operations Support Division’s Digital Skills Development Programme and the UN C4ISR Academy for Peace Operations programme. The technology training portal hosts the Academy’s e-learning courses. The UN C4ISR Academy for Peace Operations provides C4ISR and Camp Security technology training to Peacekeeping uniformed personnel (Military and Police) and is addressing identified capabilities gaps of Peacekeeping Troop & Police Contributing Countries (T/PCCs).

Login Steps

1.      Uniformed Personnel currently serving an UN Peacekeeping mission are cleared to sign in and register to technology training courses. Participants can access the TTP using the following link: https://technologytraining.un.org/. Users will be prompted to sign in using their Azure UN account.

2.      Uniformed Personnel at their national garrison and currently NOT serving an UN Peacekeeping mission are welcome to benefit from our technology training programme but are subject to a pre-registration endorsement from their respective national Permanent Mission to the UN, New-York - USA. The process that applies to such registrant includes the following steps:

a.      Candidate to seek clearance from his national Permanent Mission to the United Nations (Military or Police advisor).

b.      Follow instructions sent by Microsoft to candidate’s personal email (invitation to access the United Nations domain).

c.      Follow instructions sent by the Academy to candidate’s personal email to register in the Technology Training Portal.

Candidates cleared by their national Permanent Mission to the UN and still experiencing any difficulty to access the platform and/or any technology training course should contact UNC4ISRAcademy@un.org for support.

 

3.      Virtual Instructor Led Training Room / X20 Media: https://emea.x2ocloud.com/

The Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) Room enables the delivery of virtual sessions, with the trainer facilitating the course from a physical classroom. Students participate remotely through the X20 platform, which provides access to a virtual classroom environment and live interaction with the instructor.

Instructions

a)    You can join the room from a Windows or Mac PC or an iPad (8th gen). Use the latest versions of Google Chrome, Opera, Microsoft Edge (on Windows) or Safari (on Mac) to join the event.

b)    Be prepared to turn on your video upon entering the meeting.

c)    Click on the meeting link below 5 minutes prior to test your connection, audio and video. This is required before joining the virtual environment.

d)    Log in with your credentials below. Please do not forward this invitation as this is your unique invitation.

5.    Once you have logged on you will see the sessions below on 22 April and 29 April 2025. Please follow the aforementioned login steps on the day of these sessions and click on the link for the online administrative brief session of the CPTM induction training session.

 

 

6.    Upon clicking “Join Session”, you will be brought to a systems setting page. Please ensure you test your camera, microphone, and audio, as this will enable you to join the session.

 

Note: When trying to join a session, do not use a cell phone, as certain media settings will not work, and you will not be allowed to join the session. Plan for this accordingly.
