La aceleración de la formulación e implementación de los Planes Nacionales de Adaptación (NAPs, por sus siglas en inglés) presenta una oportunidad estratégica para fortalecer la resiliencia climática en América Latina. Esto requerirá no solo un aumento y una mejor coordinación del apoyo a los países, sino también una colaboración más sólida entre los socios de desarrollo que trabajan en la región. Un enfoque más integrado ayudará a proporcionar asistencia dirigida tanto para el desarrollo como para la implementación de los NAPs.

Para asegurar que los procesos de NAPs sean efectivos y transformadores, se necesita apoyo adicional y coherente. Con este fin, el Centro de Colaboración para América Latina (RCC LATAM) de la CMNUCC está convocando este diálogo regional para reunir a los socios de desarrollo en América Latina y evaluar el panorama del apoyo disponible y necesario para acelerar la formulación, presentación e implementación de los NAPs

¿Cómo registrarse?

Luego, deberá indicar el nombre de su organización o Parte.

¡Importante! Las categorías de Organizaciones intergubernamentales (OIG) y Organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG) deben ser utilizadas únicamente por representantes de OIG y ONG que cuenten con estatus de observador ante la CMNUCC (ver: lista de ONG admitidas, lista de OIG admitidas). En caso de que su ONG u OIG no sea observadora, seleccione la categoría "Other".

¿Recibiré una confirmación de mi registro?
Una vez que haya completado el registro, recibirá una notificación por correo electrónico confirmando que se ha registrado para este evento. Posteriormente, será notificado(a) una vez que la secretaría haya aprobado su registro.

Accelerating NAP formulation and implementation presents a strategic opportunity to strengthen climate resilience in Latin America. This will require not only increased and better-coordinated support for countries but also stronger collaboration among development partners working in the region. A more integrated approach will help provide targeted assistance for both NAP development and implementation.

To ensure that NAP processes are effective and transformative, additional and coherent support is needed. To facilitate this, the UNFCCC RCC Latin America is convening this regional dialogue to bring together development partners in Latin America to assess the landscape of support available and needed to accelerate the formulation, submission, and implementation of NAPs.

How to register?

To register for this event, click on the "Register now" button below. 

In case this is your first time using INDICO for registering for UN events, you will be required to create an account. You will be able to use this account to speed up your registration process in the future. For detailed instructions on how to create an account, please refer to the manual in the attachments.

What should I select in the "Representation" section? 

In the registration form, you will be asked to indicate the type of the organization that you represent, selecting from the following drop-down list: 

• Parties (for representatives of the Parties to UNFCCC)

• United Nations Secretariat units and bodies

• Specialized agencies and related organizations

• Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs)

• Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)

Then, you will have to indicate the name of your organization/Party. 

Important! The Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) and Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) categories should only be used by representatives of NGOs and IGOs that have observer status with UNFCCC (see: list of admitted NGOs, list of admitted IGOs). In case your NGO or IGO is not an observer, please select the "Other" category. 

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?  

Once you have completed the registration, you will receive an email notification confirming that you have registered for this event. Subsequently, you will be notified that your registration has been approved by the secretariat. 

How do I receive the link to join the event online?
