Q: I registered myself at the Indico security registration, do I need to register all my family/group members as well?
A: Yes, every visitor to the U.N must be registered.
Q: I have completed my security registration, but my application is “pending”.
A: The security registration application is approved on the same day as your visit.
Q: I received the security registration email, but I did not receive the QR code.
A: The registration confirmation email with the QR code will be sent to you on the day of your visit.
Q: I already registered, and I have a visit scheduled, but I want to go with my family, what should I do?
A: All public visitors must register on the United Nations Security site before entering the UNHQ premises. We suggest you send the registration link to your other group members to create their own security registration. Minors (16 of age and below) must be registered under an adult (18+) registration.
Q: I registered myself, but I couldn’t register additional people in my application.
A: If other people in your group are over the age of 16, they should create a new security registration for themselves.
If the additional visitors in your group are under the age of 16, please arrive earlier to the Visitor’s Center, and you will be assisted by our staff.
Q: Is the Visitor’s Security Check-In also for registering for meetings held on the United Nations Premises?
A: No, any questions pertaining to specific events/meetings or conferences that are taking place within the premises of the United Nations, it is recommended that you contact the respective event organizers directly. They will have the most up-to-date information and be better equipped to assist you.
Q: Is it mandatory to reserve a guided tour to visit the United Nations?
A: It is not mandatory to reserve a guided tour, you can visit the United Nations independently.
