Q&A-1
Question: Do I need to complete UN security registration if I already purchased tickets for a guided tour?
Answer: Yes. Purchasing a guided tour ticket does not complete the UN security registration process. All visitors must register separately through the UN Security accreditation system prior to arriving at the premises.

Q&A-2
Question: Is the guided tour ticket the same as UN security registration?
Answer: No. Guided tour tickets and UN security registration are two separate requirements. A tour ticket allows participation in the tour, while registration is required to access the UN Headquarters premises.

Q&A-3
Question: I already paid for the tour—why do I still need to register?
Answer: All visitors must complete security registration in order to enter the UN Headquarters. Purchasing a guided tour ticket does not replace this requirement.

Q&A-4
Question: Can someone under 18 register individually for a UN visit?
Answer: No. Visitors under 18 cannot submit individual registration requests and must be included in a group registration submitted by an adult.

Q&A-5
Question: Can a minor submit a group registration request?
Answer: No. The group lead must be at least 18 years old to submit a registration request on behalf of a group.

Q&A-6
Question: How should minors be registered for a visit?
Answer: Minors must be included in a group registration submitted by an adult. Only their full name and date of birth are required during registration.

Q&A-7
Question: Can I enter the UN Headquarters if I have a tour ticket but did not complete registration?
Answer: No. All visitors must complete the required UN security registration before arrival. A guided tour ticket alone is not sufficient for entry to the premises.

Q&A-8
Question: Do I need an account to submit a registration request?
Answer: Yes. The person submitting the registration request (individual visitor or group lead) must create an Indico account in order to complete and manage the application.

Q&A-9
Question: Can I submit a registration request for someone who is not part of my group?
Answer: No. You may only submit a registration request for yourself or for individuals included in your group.

Q&A-10
Question: Can I use the same email address for multiple group members?
Answer: No. Each adult participant should be registered with their own unique email address to ensure proper processing and communication.

Q&A-11
Question: Can I add more people to my group after submitting the registration?
Answer: Yes. Additional group members can be added by submitting new registrations under the same group through the accreditation system.

Q&A-12
Question: What happens if I complete registration but do not purchase a guided tour ticket?
Answer: Completing the security registration allows access to the UN Headquarters premises, but it does not include participation in a guided tour. A separate ticket must be purchased for guided tours.

Q&A-13
Question: My friend has a guided tour ticket but did not register—can they still enter?
Answer: No. Each visitor must complete their own UN security registration. A guided tour ticket alone does not grant access to the premises.

Q&A-14
Question: Can I complete the registration on the day of my visit if I had technical issues?
Answer: If you experience technical difficulties, you may arrive early at the Visitors Centre where staff can assist you with registration. However, completing the registration in advance is strongly recommended.
