The High-Level Policy Dialogue, titled “Leadership for the Future: Enhancing Urban Governance Practices for Sustainable, Resilient, and Equitable Cities in Asia-Pacific,” is a special event linked to the 8th Session of the ESCAP Committee on Environment and Development, taking place on October 15, 2024, at UNESCAP in Bangkok. This event gathers prominent city leaders and urban experts to explore and align on forward-thinking urban governance practices. The dialogue focuses on fostering political commitment, inspiring new ideas, and enhancing collaboration among city leaders in the Asia-Pacific region to tackle the challenges of rapid urbanization, climate change, and governance. The insights and outcomes from this dialogue will contribute to key global discussions, including the World Urban Forum (WUF12) in Cairo.
