Transportation:
Transportation to and from UNGSC is provided over the event days. Departure time is at 8:00 a.m. from the meeting point near the Train Station (opposite to Palazzo Virgilio Hotel). Afternoon pick up from UNGSC main gate is at 5:00 p.m. (unless different arrangements).
Upon arrival participants should arrange for transportation from the airport to the hotel on their own. Taxies are available outside the airport exit (parking area); the cost range is €20.00/€25.00 per trip. Alternatively public bus to the train station is available (please refer to link on the event home page for details).
Meals & Snacks:
Both cafeteria and canteen are located in Bldg 228. The first one offers take away options and drinks, while lunch is served at the canteen from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. All dietary options and requirements are available. Additionally, vending machines are located around the base.
Wi-Fi:
Free wi-fi access is available in the entire base. Password will be given upon arrival at UNGSC.
Other details:
Weather: In Brindisi, the summers are warm and clear and the winters are mildly cold and windy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 6°C/44°F to 30°/85°F and is rarely below 3°/37°F or above 33°/92°F.
Shopping: Downtown shops are open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Shopping centers are located right outside urban area, easily reachable by bus. Opening time is 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., 7 days a week.
Banking: Banks in town are open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
