On the occation of 17 June all day event, the SDG4 High-Level Steering Committee (HLSC) will take stock of the collective progress Member States and the global education community have made, the challenges we continue to face and the steps we need to take to accelerate action towards SDG 4.
This high-level event aims to:
• Take stock of country progress towards SDG 4 and showcase transformative actions undertaken by Member States, including since the Transforming Education Summit;
• Explore innovative financing mechanisms for education, building on country experiences, including debt conversions;
• Ahead of the Global Education Meeting, advance dialogue on acceleration strategies for education for the remaining years until 2030;
• Reaffirm education’s position on the global political agenda, ahead of the Summit of the Future, paving the way for the World Social Summit in 2025.
