The life stage Quality of Care (QoC) Metrics Technical Working Group (TWG) was established by the World Health Organization’s Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health and Ageing (MCA) to support its agenda on the development of a harmonized methodology, framework, guidance, and tools for QoC measurement across life stages.
The TWG has so far held three annual general meetings since it was established in 2021 and this year’s meeting is being hosted by JSI, as MCA’s technical partner. The meeting aims to provide protected time for members of TWG to work intensively in their respective task teams, including taking stock of their progress to date, and working together to advance the development of the WHO technical products they have been assigned to support. The meeting will also provide a platform for members of the TWG to discuss and refine the current TWG coordination and financing models, to share insights into emerging and ongoing activities in the QoC measurement space, discuss how to create synergies and partnerships across various workstreams, and brainstorm on potential priorities for the future.
