WHO/UNICEF workshop on systems for hand hygiene in community settings
Global Summit to accelerate progress towards achieving safely managed sanitation
The Global Summit on Sanitation will take place over 3 days and will bring together ministries of health and water and sanitation from 20-25 countries, as well as international organizations, implementers, academia, and donors. The meeting aims to raise the profile of sanitation, promote greater alignment among sector stakeholders, support actions on sanitation and facilitate knowledge exchange and learning among countries. A provisional agenda, a list of participants and other background documents will be sent to you prior to the meeting. The working language of the meeting will be English with translation services available in French.
Alongside a workshop on systems for hand hygiene in community settings will take place over one full day. It will bring together mid-level government representatives and supporting partners, from 10 countries championing the forthcoming WHO-UNICEF Guidelines on hand hygiene in community settings. The objective of the workshop is to seek input on implementation guidance for the upcoming global Guidelines on hand hygiene in community settings.
