Global Summit to accelerate progress towards achieving safely managed sanitation

Global Summit to Accelerate Progress Towards Achieving Safely Managed Sanitation  aims to raise the profile of sanitation, promote greater alignment among sector stakeholders to support actions on sanitation, and facilitate knowledge exchange and learning among countries. The event will bring together about 130 participants including ministries of health and water and sanitation from 20-25 countries, representing all regions. In addition, international organizations, implementers, academia, and donors will be invited.  Plenary discussions along with skill-building sessions will be held to advance understanding and provide for inter country. On the margin of the Global Summit on sanitation, it is proposed to convene an in-person Champion Country Working Group for Development of Guideline Implementation Guidance on Hand Hygiene in Community Settings.
