The WHO Civil Society Working Group to advance action on climate and Health was established in 2019 by WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to strengthen WHO collaboration with civil society, health organizations and advance significant, urgent action on climate change and health. The Working Group’s terms of reference state that members will meet in person twice yearly on the margins of the World Health Assembly and the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties, in addition to regular virtual meetings throughout the year. This in-person meeting of the Working Group will take place on the margin of WHA77 on 29 May 2024.
