The Long Game is a “capacity building ecosystem” that hosts and utilizes a suit of games, simulations and storytelling platforms for hands-on capacity building and empowerment activities. Based on the science of “Powers of 10” and the “Climate Long Game”, it focuses on the capacity building and empowerment of communities, particularly the youth community considering them as the climate action sweet-spot to maximize the output of climate action with minimum intervention. The Long Game functions through “change makers”, who are already building capacities on the ground, learns from their experience and transfers skills across the ecosystems and also to the ones who need them.

In this capacity building webinar, we will deploy a fast-paced method - CRE8® -developed by Karlstad University Grants and Innovation Office for creative problem solving through competition with innovation in the focus. In the original method, three to four multidisciplinary teams test their real-world problem-solving skills against each other and pitch their solutions to a jury. The problem assignment is sharp, real-world and timely and is obtained from researchers, companies or the public sector. The aim is to train the participants to solve real problems and cooperate in teams as a useful experience for a future working life.

Join this session, organised by The Long Game and the Youth4Capacity programme to learn how to leverage game theory for climate action!
