The Future of Global Health Diplomacy in a Changing World

The Power of Cohesiveness in the G7 & G20

The G20&G7 Health and Development Partnership (G20&G7HDP) is hosting the 8th edition of the annual Health 20 (H20) Summit on 19-20th June 2024 at the WHO Headquarters in Geneva

Our H20 Summit-themed “The Future of Global Health Diplomacy in a Changing World - The Power of Cohesiveness in the G7 & G20” will be centred around the changing role of Global Health Diplomacy within the G20 and G7 and its wider implications on other alliances such as the BRICS.

During the H20, the discussions will be centred around the changing role of Global Health Diplomacy within the G20 and G7 and its wider implications on other alliances such as the BRICS. Panellists and G20 & G7 policymakers will also be able to assess G20 & G7 taskforces and Initiatives that have been created to date and evaluate lessons learned. Leading up to the UN High-Level Meeting on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in September, we will launch the AMR Global Legislator's report that we have jointly developed with former and current politicians to showcase how the disconnect between scientists and policymakers can be realized in the short and long-term.

We will also be discussing new mechanisms and tools to bridge the disconnect between the investment and the health community. By assessing and looking at new financing models to invest in the health and socioeconomic well-being of our societies, we will look at the domains of women’s health and non-communicable diseases.

We look forward to having you there
